4/14/20 PreK-K, Drip Flowers

Drip Flowers

Hi Boys and Girls! For this project you will need:

  • A Piece of paper

  • Watercolor paint

  • Brush

  • Water

  • Paper towel/newspaper to cover the table

Step 1 - Paint a blob of color onto the middle of your paper. Add lots of water to the blob of color! This is your flower.

Step 2 - Lift the top of your paper so that the blob of color drips a single line down your paper. That is the stem.

Step 3 - Clean your brush and then pick up some green paint onto your brush. Tap the green paint onto the flower where the flower and the stem meet.

Step 4 - Pick up your paper again and let the green paint fill the stem of your flower.

Step 5 - Use green paint again to dab your brush along the edge of the stem to create leaves.

Step 6 - Paint any other details you would like... butterfly, grass, clouds, ladybug, caterpillar...

If you don't have watercolor paint, try this...

Use Crayola markers. Draw a blob of color then use a brush or q-tip to add lots of water. Tip your paper up and voila!
